SmartWay’ Aims to Achieve Improved Fuel Efficiency and Reduce Environmental Impacts
As a SmartWay partner, Uncommon Carrier is dedicated to improving fuel savings and reducing emissions in our logistics service operations. Our truck fleet is equipped with various fuel-saving technologies and tactics, all geared to reducing emissions.
SmartWay identifies products and services that reduce transportation-related emissions, and consists of transportation programs that are designed to result in significant air quality and greenhouse gas improvements while improving current levels of other emissions and pollutants. The goal of partnering with SmartWay is to eliminate more than 33 million metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions and up to 200,000 tons of nitrous oxide emissions per year, and reduce large amounts of particulate matter. By partnering with SmartWay, Uncommon Carrier strives to limit any negative effects on the environment through our trucking services.
